Shrek will be made into a musical, doing its pre-broadway showing in Seattle at the end of the summer. I know now what I’ll be doing for my birthday!

Shannon Hale and Libba Bray are doing a book tour across the US(okay, mostly the West, but a few other places), starting off in the west. They will be in Portland (my town) this Saturday. Anyone else in my area and plan to be there?

Have you checked out Book Mooch yet? It’s a site where you can offer up your books in trade for others. You pay shipping and handling for books you send out and you get points that can be applied to other books. I *just* set up my account so I’ve only listed one book yet, but it was claimed about two hours later. (It was Ink Heart, hardcover, by the way. I’d never read it. I just bought myself a paperback copy though, which I want to read before the movie comes out.)

The latest of Paolini’s books has been announced – Brisingr.

Oh, and since I never posted this before – here is my MySpace and my goodreads. Feel free to friend me. One of these days I mean to start a group on one of those two and it will be a support group for “adults” addicted to YA fiction. You know, discussing the best way to hide the covers from prying glances at work, etc ^_^. … All right, everyone I’ve ever worked with or gone to class with probably knows I like YA and Star Wars by now. But its fun to act like I’m oppressed because of it.
