Next Frog Princess Book, PNBA, and life
I just got back from a great vacation in Denver where I went to a convention for my other project (Otaku Survival Guides) and now I’m headed up to Seattle for PNBA, which is the place to network in the area about book publishing and get free books. I’ll probably post a list of what YA books I’m excited about from PNBA when I get back on Friday. But, so, that’s why the review isn’t up this week.
Currently, I am working on reviewing Golden, which I absolutely loved. Of course, this is the first book in the Once Upon A Time series that I checked out from the library, and it’s now my new favorite and I shall have to buy it anyways. I also read the first Bloody Jack book while on vacation as well as Dragon Slippers, and both of those books were great as well. So if you just want a jump start on some titles to read while escaping the trauma of school restarting (I go back next Monday), there are some titles to try.
And in response to some questions the other day about Salamander Spell and No Place For Magic, I recently e-mailed E. D. Baker about the newest book. Here’s what she had to say:
“The next book, Dragon Trouble, will be about Emma and Eadric’s fourteen year old daughter, so the story begins approximately sixteen years after No Place For Magic. Emma and Eadric aren’t the only ones to have had children, however, so you’ll meet a whole new generation of characters.”
So yay! That sounds like it’ll be a lot of fun!
